Twenty-five colonial periods trapped in cold stasis, punishment for crimes he didn't commit, have left Kalen with three gifts. A burning need to clear his good name. An endless nightmare. And the debilitating after-effects of cold stasis.

While rehabilitating in the prison, an attempt is made on his life, but fails. The trip home finds him in danger again. In order to clear his name, he has to survive and get answers.
